Law Firm's E-Newsletter Wins Legal Marketing Association Award

CONCORD, NH - Gallagher, Callahan & Gartrells' Government & Regulatory Review received first place in the Legal Marketing Association's 2003 Your Honor Awards in the Electronic Media category. Amy Campbell, principal of Infoworks!, who developed and manages the monthly e-newsletter for the Concord law firm, received the award March 6, 2003 at the LMA's annual conference in San Francisco, California.

Entries were evaluated on the degree to which each met or exceeded its strategic objective, as well as creativity, originality, measurement and quality of execution. Your Honor Award judges gave Campbell's submission "kudos for building solid metrics for evaluating effectiveness and for success in building a subscriber base. This product effectively positions the firm as an authority in the field."

Campbell cites the winning e-newsletter as a great example of how professional services firms can build brand and engage customers and potential customers using 'information of value.' "Everyone is trying to build trust," said Campbell. "You can't really do that with glossy brochures and fancy beach towels. One way you can build trust is by creating an 'informational relationship' with clients and potential clients through consistent, accurate, useful information delivered through integrated
channels such as web sites, e-newsletters, seminars, webinars, and print publications."

She credits Donald Pfundstein, the law firm's managing director in charge of marketing, with championing the firm's commitment to creating relevant and timely information of special interest to its clients. "The e-newsletter is the delivery mechanism that packages the content to engage clients and drive them to the web site on a regular basis," said Campbell. "Without good content written by the firm's attorneys and professionals, the e-newsletter could not continue to deliver interested readers to the web site."

Campbell is a marketing communications consultant specializing in content strategy and information design. She serves clients in New Hampshire and Massachusetts. Campbell recently was elected to the board of directors of the Legal Marketing Association's New England Chapter.

Gallagher, Callahan & Gartrell is a multidisciplinary government and regulatory law firm serving sophisticated clients with markets in New Hampshire and New England.
