Firm Hangs American Flag in Honor and Remembrance

Remarks of Firm President, David Garfunkel:

"Today, on this historic building that once served as the law offices for President Franklin Pierce, we display the American Flag to commemorate those Americans who perished in New York, Washington and Pennsylvania, and to thank those Americans who have been and continue to be engaged in ongoing and extraordinary rescue efforts. The courage displayed by these men and women, both in the air and on the ground — everyday people suddenly confronted by unimaginable terror and devastating carnage — embodies the strength and resilience of the American people."

The firm extends its gratitude to R&T Electric of Concord, NH for hanging the flag, which measures 15' x 25'.

George Woods of R&T Electric, a former member of the Army Military Police, where he was responsible for flag protocols, undertook command of the project. Company owner Jon Ruggles assisted him.

Many onlookers approved as they passed by, with enthusiastic cheers and blaring horns. Following the hanging, Christopher Gallagher led the firm in the Pledge of Allegiance.
