GCG Attorneys Advise The Nashua Bank in Formation

CONCORD, NH — Attorneys Denis J. Maloney, Susan B. Hollinger and W. John Funk of Gallagher, Callahan and Gartrell, P.C., provided legal counsel in the formation and capitalization of The Nashua Bank, a state-chartered depository trust company located in Nashua, New Hampshire. The firm handled all of the bank’s federal and state regulatory filings necessary to obtain a banking charter, and assisted with efforts to raise required capital funds. The Nashua Bank’s sole office, located at 188 Main Street in Nashua, opened on October 1, 2007.

"It is exciting to see the formation of a new community bank which is not only locally-owned but also locally managed. Small and medium sized businesses now have a home-town, alternative source for financing their growth, which in turn will help to fuel local employment," said Hollinger.

Maloney’s practice focuses on corporate finance and related federal and state securities filings, broker/dealer and investment adviser matters, complex regulatory and compliance matters, and corporate governance and shareholder relations. Hollinger practices banking and business law, on a full range of issues primarily related to the financial services industry, with an emphasis on complex regulatory and compliance matters and transactional work. Funk has extensive experience representing financial services companies regarding their business activities, regulatory matters, corporate affairs and mergers and acquisitions.

Gallagher, Callahan & Gartrell is a multidisciplinary law firm with offices in Augusta, Maine; Boston, Massachusetts; and Concord, New Hampshire.
