How We Use Technology
To Serve You Better
At Gallagher, Callahan & Gartrell, we have made substantial investments in technology over the years that are resulting in real productivity and customer service benefits.
Our embrace of technology to serve you better has attracted attention from clients and competitive law firms as well as trade publications and professional associations. Recently, our firm was featured in Law Office Computing for our use of technology to build and service customer relationships, our web site was a finalist in a national best web site contest, and our monthly e-newsletter received a national e-marketing award from the Legal Marketing Association.
Built for compatibility, connection and speed
Our offices use the Microsoft Office suite of products, primarily Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and its Access database program. We use Perfect Laws Attorney Information Management system, an integrated document and financial system.
Every electronic and paper document in every client matter is stored in a database on our network, making important documents instantly retrievable. Our clients dont need to wait for file retrieval before our professionals can see the critical documents affecting that matter. To aid our electronic filing, we rely on four, high-speed scanners with scan-to-email capability that are integrated with our network, and can be integrated with clients via the Internet. Use of the Adobe Acrobat Portable Document Format (PDF) allows for compatibility across all platforms and between us and our clients.
Emphasizing accessibility and communication
We also use technology to emphasize the accessibility and availability of our professionals who are familiar with the clients need for urgency. We use laptop tablet computers that electronically transmit and convert handwritten notes to Word documents, cell phones and personal computing devices. We also have installed a virtual private network (VPN) so that we can access our entire client management system remotely from any location.
We don't just install these systems; we use them in our daily practice. We are taking advantages of the wireless Internet through use of specially-equipped laptops that can access our VPN without regard to the inefficiencies associated with navigating remote Internet connections. Our technology also facilitates any presentation and reporting issues associated with client invoicing.
Customer-driven solutions
Our use of technology is driven by our ability to support you. If we cannot currently do it, we would be pleased to discuss with you your particular technology requirements.
