Michael R. Callahan has tried a wide variety of cases in the state and federal courts, including commercial disputes, construction, employment and white collar crime. He has served as chairman of the New Hampshire Bar Association's Ethics Committee and its Committee on Cooperation with the Courts. He presently serves as the lawyer representative on the New Hampshire Court Accreditation Commission. In addition, he has served on numerous other law-related committees, including the New Hampshire Supreme Court's Long Range Planning Task Force and the U.S. Magistrate Selection Committee.
Mike is frequently called upon to serve as a mediator and arbitrator by private disputants in both commercial and personal injury matters. He has mediated settlements ranging from New Hampshire's probable largest personal injury settlement to all of the cases arising out of the collapse of the Alton dam.
He has served as an adjunct professor of business law at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.
A variety of publications have often named Mike as one of the state's best litigators and he has written and lectured extensively on litigation-related subjects. He has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America® for more than 15 years. Best Lawyers further recognized him as "Lawyer of the Year" 2012 for Personal Injury Litigation - Defendents, Concord, NH. He is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and the International Society of Barristers. He is also named to the 2011 list of New England Super Lawyers® for Business Litigation.
Mike graduated from Wesleyan University and the Cornell University Law School.
