Heidi Kroll works on public policy issues and legislative and regulatory matters related to energy, the environment, business strategies, and economic and market trends. She is a government and regulatory affairs professional with 17 years of experience, primarily in the electric and natural gas utility industries, representing regulated utilities, competitive suppliers, and energy consumers. She has conducted a wide array of research projects and analyses, ranging from impacts of energy and environmental policies, changes in New Hampshire's tax structure, hospital mergers and antitrust, market analyses for affirmative action plans, and trends in independent case management for in-home health care.
Heidi serves a government and regulatory liaison for clients, maintaining open dialogues with state officials and stakeholders and advocating client positions and goals. She is a trusted and respected source of information and appears before the NH Legislature and the NH Public Utilities Commission for public hearings, work sessions, testimony, and presentations. She works collaboratively with clients and colleagues to develop and implement strategies for communicating, negotiating, and promoting public policies that advance client goals.
She is the recipient of the NH Business and Industry Association’s 2005 “Above and Beyond” award, which recognizes individuals who have demonstrated an “extraordinary willingness and commitment to helping the organization be successful and work to further its legislative and regulatory priorities.” A regular presenter and moderator at the NH BIA’s annual energy seminars, she is often an invited speaker at local and state groups.
Prior to joining the firm, Heidi was an energy policy analyst in The Governor's Office of Energy and Community Services. She has also served as a research associate with Tellus Institute in Boston, Massachusetts.
Heidi is a magna cum laude graduate of Smith College where she received a bachelor of arts in economics and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
