Marla Matthews advises the regulated industries and our business clients on a variety of insurance, healthcare and energy issues. Marla frequently represents clients before the New Hampshire Insurance Department on a range of matters, including licensing, market conduct examinations, and holding company filings and approvals. She also appears before the Public Utilities Commission and the Department of Labor. In addition to her agency practice, Marla represents clients before the New Hampshire Legislature.
Experienced as a former special education teacher, she also represents school districts on special education and related matters.

Prior to joining the firm, Marla served as a law clerk to the Honorable James E. Duggan, associate justice of the New Hampshire Supreme Court.
She currently serves on the board of directors of New Hampshire Jobs for America's Graduates.
Marla is a graduate of Northeastern University School of Law. She received her bachelor of science degree, magna cum laude, from Keene State College.
