CONCORD, NH — Attorney Beth Deragon of Gallagher, Callahan & Gartrell, PC, participated in a discussion regarding anti-discrimination issues at the New Hampshire Adjusters Association’s 21st Annual Fall Education Conference held November 3rd and 4th. Attorney Deragon was one of five attorneys from Gallagher, Callahan & Gartrell invited to speak at NHAA’s two-day conference. Presentations were also given by Charles Bauer, R. Matthew Cairns, Marla Matthews, and Donald Pfundstein.
Attorney Deragon is a trial attorney leading GCG’s employment practice group where her practice focuses on counseling businesses in employment matter. Deragon counsels and trains employers on sound employment practices and policies, including providing anti-discrimination training, reviewing employment contracts (non-competes, non-solicitation and independent contractor), conducting internal investigations, drafting and reviewing employee handbooks, and counseling through all phases of the employer/employee relationship - recruitment through discipline, termination and layoffs.
Ms. Deragon defends employers in employment litigation and appears before the NH Commission for Human Rights, NH Department of Labor (DOL audit and wage and hour claims), NH Employment Security (unemployment compensation appeals), NH Superior Courts, US District Court and US Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.
