DRI Web Cast Features Cairns on Claims Involving a Medicare Beneficiary

CONCORD, NH — R. Matthew Cairns was one of three featured speakers on a DRI Webcast entitled “Claims Involving A Medicare Beneficiary: What Is The Law And How Do We Follow Or Change It?” This was the last session in a three-part series that aired on September 17th.

Attorney Cairns addressed existing Medicare laws, regulations and rules and contingent liabilities, including Medicare beneficiary privacy and associated penalties with non-compliance. Cairns also spoke about recent efforts to reform the MSP, legislative resolutions, the possibility of changing the MSP through litigation, and resources for MSP-regulated entities.

Cairns is a Shareholder-Director at Gallagher, Callahan & Gartrell and represents the interests of individuals, insurers, manufacturers, transportation and other companies in diverse commercial, complex and traditional litigation matters before state and federal courts and state agencies. Cairns has been named a 2007 and 2008 "Super Lawyer" for products liability defense, and holds the position of first vice president of DRI.
