Anne Jenness is a member of the firm's litigation and corporate departments, specializing in employment law, workplace and school investigations, and workplace audits. Anne also provides training, advice, and guidance on a wide variety of legal and practical issues affecting boards, associations, and nonprofit organizations.

Prior to joining the firm, Anne worked extensively in the growing area of workplace investigations, assisting in and conducting dozens of internal investigations for a large government agency in California, in addition to preparing responses to Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH) charges. She is experienced in providing advice, guidance, and training on Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and other employment and human resources issues, including sexual harassment, discrimination, and compliance with EEO and other laws and policies.

Anne began her legal career as a staff attorney for the New Hampshire Public Defender, where she assisted clients accused of felonies and misdemeanors throughout all stages of criminal proceedings.

Anne is designated as an Association of Workplace Investigators Certificate Holder (AWI-CH), and holds a Professional of Human Resources (PHR) certificate from the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI). She is admitted to the New Hampshire and California Bars. Anne is a member of the board of directors of New Hampshire Legal Assistance and of the Legal Advice and Referral Center.

Anne graduated with honors from the University of Iowa School of Law, and received repeated recognition for her accomplishments in the areas of legal writing and appellate advocacy. She was the University of Iowa Moot Court Competition Best Brief and Best Advocate winner and the National Moot Court Team captain; she also received the faculty-conferred award for Outstanding Achievement in Appellate Advocacy. In addition, Anne served as a staff writer for the Journal of Corporation Law, the co-president of the Equal Justice Foundation, and the second vice-chair of the Moot Court Board. She earned her bachelor of arts degree in political science from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
