Attorney Pollack Speaks on Permitting Issues at 2012 NH Water Symposium

CONCORD, NH — Ari B. Pollack, a land use development attorney with Gallagher, Callahan & Gartrell, presented on permitting requirements to several hundred attendees at NH’s 2012 Water Symposium held on November 9th. Pollack discussed the state’s alteration-of-terrain (AoT) permit rules that took effect in 2009 and the many challenges these rules pose to redevelopment projects.

He also explained how waivers and costs/savings analyses are being used in the interim to allow beneficial redevelopment projects to move forward while NH’s Department of Environmental Services works on revised rules that eliminate, or at least lessen, disincentives to redevelopment.

Pollack is listed in Woodward/White Inc.’s Best Lawyers in America® for Real Estate, Land Use and Zoning, and was recently selected by Best Lawyers as Concord’s 2013 “Lawyer of the Year” for Land Use and Zoning Law.
