Funk Moderates Panel on Vacation Ownership Trusts at ARDA National Convention

CONCORD, NH – John Funk, an attorney with a special focus in vacation ownership and resort law, was a featured speaker at the American Resort Development Association’s (ARDA) annual convention in Orlando, Florida this week. Funk moderated a panel discussion on vacation ownership trusts.

Vacation ownership trusts are the predominant form of ownership in Europe and are having a growing presence in the United States market. According to Funk, “Developers should consider the trust option in designing a vacation regime as it offers a better model than the traditional deed-based approach to deliver vacation products to consumers.”

Materials from the conference will soon be available on gcglaw.com, or interested persons may contact Attorney Funk directly for more information and related materials.

Funk has authored articles on vacation ownership and timeshare topics for ARDA’s magazine, Developments, including The Move Toward Trust Ownership. Additional articles are available in the Resort Law resources section of the firm’s web site.
