CONCORD, NH — Gallagher, Callahan and Gartrell is pleased to congratulate Shareholder-Director David Garfunkel for his confirmation by the Governor and Executive Council as a New Hampshire Superior Court judge. Garfunkel is one of four attorneys confirmed at today’s Governor and Council meeting.

Attorney Garfunkel joined Gallagher, Callahan & Gartrell in 1989 after serving as the director of New Hampshire’s Public Defender Program for 10 years. His practice has included commercial litigation, white collar criminal defense, employment discrimination litigation, representation of professionals charged with misconduct, and regulatory matters. Garfunkel has been a member of the board of directors of the New Hampshire Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and was appointed to the New Hampshire Judicial Council by the chief justice of the New Hampshire Supreme Court.
He has also been named among the “Best Lawyers in America” in the areas of commercial litigation and alternative dispute resolution. Garfunkel graduated from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School in 1968 and from the University of Michigan Law School in 1971.
